Novak Rooster vs. Losi 12RB ESC???
I am getting a Losi 1/10 Desert Truck for my b-day in a few days and i have a problem. First let me say i use Traxxas connectors. The stock ESC on the DT is a tamiya connector. But, I already have a one of the ORIGINAL Novak rooster that is probably at least 7 years old(IDK, it was given to me by a family friend). So I need to know if this ESC is better than the stock Losi 12RB ESC because if it is, i wont bother getting the Traxxas connector soldered onto the losi one. I did have it on a Traxxas bandit and it made my car quite a bit faster than with the XL-5 ESC which is still the standard Traxxas RTR brushed ESC. Here is a pic of the Rooster installed in my HPI formula ten f1 car.

As long as you stay within the limits (ITBJRC 8 cells and above 15t) the Rooster will likely be the stronger of the ESCs.

Ok... the rooster (in working condition) is worth at least $75. It is not a great ESC, but the vintage Tamiya guys like to run them. Its designed for a higher turn motor in a car with big wheels. Put it in a box, and forget about it. The stock one is fine.
