Picco .26 no doubt. My father in law has an Orion .26(same as a picco .26) that we had in his savage and that sucker was mean. The savage is heaver than the revo, so in a revo, the picco .26 should be a beast. The .26 will also turn more RPM on the top end, which is what the revo needs more than a big torquey engine IMO.

OS 21TM. I love how easy OS engines are to operate, and the 18 CV-RX in my NTC3 is more reliable than my mother's minivan!
If money were no object I'd go for an FS-40C-SX, but then I'm just a wierdo who wants a four stroke car but only has a two stroke budget. [&:]

Think of the 21TM the same way you would a Chevy 400SBC. It's a big block displacement in a smallblock mount.

You mean it needs a main girdle and runs hot and has tons of block flex because of siamesed bores?

Not the negative factors of it anyways. Many thousands of 400s live very long lives, usually in pickup trucks where they came stock. Besides, you forgot to mention they eat cams too. Friend of mine had a Chevelle with a 400SBC. It hauled ass but he went through four cams in two hundred miles before he pulled it and put in a 350.

Out of your options, I'd pick the Picco.
Another one I'd consider that you haven't listed though is the OS 25XZ. Gobs of power and longer run times than say a .28 or .30. But I am a fan of OS [8D].
Good luck.

I would go with an lrp .28 before a .30. You dont need that much torque in the Revo IMO. The .28 is plenty due to its lighter weight in comparison to a savy.

I've owned a number of O.S. engines and several Piccos and all have been great engines. I currently run Picco .28s in my Savage and Aftershock and they are nasty little engines. Several guys at my LHS run the .26 Picco and love it. I've also had a few OFNA engines along with two Dynamite engines and those were pretty decent for being in a RTR. All are good engines but I personally would go with the Picco.

RE: Which big block would you go with and why
I've been doing gobs of research on the BB kits from Traxxas and New Era, both sound like they are trouble, the motor I want isnt compatible with the Traxxas bb kit I dont think (Dynamite Big Red), and I seen that people are not liking the New Era kit because it raises the engine up which messes with the center of gravity, and both kits look like the throttle linkage and gearing would be a pain to deal with...
