What brand was it?
There was this new brand announced a while back that was mainly beginner based, was gonna make several different 2wd models inlcuding a short course truck, bragged about an all metal gear transmission, and something else. I wanna say the name of the company started with a "d" maybe, but i'm not sure, help me out.

RE: What brand was it?
hey TBJ, had a quick question for ya' if you don't mind. i was thinking of getting my bro an Electrix Boost for Xmas, versus the Evader EXT2. but, which would be better? i like the Boost becvause it comes with everything, so he would be set from the get go. on the other hand, i can get the Evader for 20 bucks less and then just get him a cehap 7 cell to into it. which one would be better and more upgradable? thanks.

The Evader for sure. I have heard Electrix are not too terrible but better to trust a more established company with better parts support, that will respond better to future upgrades, And no, I know I am not TBJ, just consider me his better-looking long-lost cousin

If it were ThunderbirdJunkie, he'd get the EXT2, a bearing set from Avid, and a couple 6 cell stick packs. Not sure if the ESC can handle the 7 cell?
The charger that comes with the Electrix cars is terrible, at best, though.

RE: What brand was it?
cool, thanks. so do you think the Boost would take as much of or more of a beating than an Evader? and i kinda liked the Boost even though its a little more cuz the ESC is 12t capable if you want, and it comes with a battery (crappy, it may be, but...), and it looks cool, haha. its actually one of the ugliest RC's, but it kinda seems to be growing on me... like moss on a tree...

ITBJHO, you can't beat the value of the Electrix cars, and they're tough as nails. The Evader line has always been a solid budget option as well.
