need advice, about to place order
Want kind of lipo should I run with the mamba moster kit? mah, cells, volts etc.....looking at the venom batteries and found a couple for a good price, please dont suggest anything, dont have alot of coin to spend on something like maxamps, just need to know what kind of power I would be safe with....

dunno lol, never delt with electric, always been nitro, just need to know a decent lipo that I can run on a 1/10 revo with the mamba monster

it depends on your battery box's
the MM if its the 2200kv one is 120Amps so you need batteries to output at least that much (go higher if possible)
Personally I've used Turnigy's 5200mah 30C lipos with it
To figure out the max amp draw of a battery its (mahXC)/1000
So the ones I said can do 156A's continuous draw

A word of warning on Venom batteries, especially the kind with interchangable connectors. The ones I got with the Traxxas connector stopped making contact the second time I used them. The contacts bend downward and couldn't connect to the contacts on the car's plug. I had my LHS cut off the connectors and solder on genuine Traxxas plugs. Plus, you pretty much have to break the small security tabs on the sides of the universal plugs to change to other style of connector. Other than that though, they work fine in my cars.

Minimum for a 1/8th application I would say after trying it, is 5000mAh 20C. If you go lower in mAh, you need to go up in discharge rate proportionally. So, 3000mAh would need to be at least 35C. Depends on the quality of the battery as well of course.
My brand new flux does standing flips on brand new 4S 20C 5000mAh batteries. I mention that the batts are brand new too, as they are at their weakest when brand new. After a few more cycles they will be punchier still.
