that is it: what is the Best Electric RC Car For Large Athletic Field With Short Grass, like a double soccer field. going fast, on flat, open ground.

i already have a jato among others, and the jato is a master at this, but i want an electric. also, i am aware of the speed nt and rustler vxl, but i won't buy a losi and i have too many traxxas including a brushless 2wd slash, which just doesn't do it for me anymore.... i guess the rustler vxl is the one but i'd like a different choice. like maybe some kind of schumacher or ofna i don't know about....

What are you looking too spend ? You already have a 2WD Stadium Truck and a brushless Slash so why not try something different ? I would look into E 1/8 scale like an E REVO or Savage Flux or maybe an E Truggy or buggy .

i think you should try an E-Revo or Flux if you've got the cash. and if you don't, a Stampede 4x4 or Slash 4x4 should work fine for your bash place.

As others have mentioned, the Flux is a great choice if you can afford it (and good batteries for it)

The E-Revo is good too but having owned both I prefer the Flux.

for the Savage Flux's.

OR... there's the Vorza Flux (1/8 buggy)which uses the same ESC / motor as the Flux HP truck! This, I believe, would have greater speed potential compared to the Savage.

Not sure a buggy would be ideal in grass, truggy maybe, but I also say go with a flux.

The savage is not well known for being friendly to the grass, however, maybe we should list something that will not tear it up as badly? He did mention it is an athletic field, some of them want their greens looking like a golf course

If the grass is kept shorter, which an athletic field would be, buggies work fine on the grass. As long as my landlord has cut the grass within the last week, my 8ight 2.0 flys across my backyard.

There's going to be a mini Savage Flux coming out soon. That might be good for short grass.

the RC8e is good for racing, but for bashing you might as well get a Vorza Flux. more durable and more powerful. only place it lacks is handling, but that can probably be changed with some tuning and right tires for the conditions.

I have found that if it is good for racing it is great for bashing! the best basher I ever had was an old Jammin CRT X1. The cars that most people associate as "bashers" are generally cheaper models that are marketed to a younger crowd. and since they are cheaper they break more easily. That being said the newer HPI flux models are anything but cheap and from what I hear they are awesome bashers.

i was simply saying that the RC8e was designed for racing. ok, the Vorza's got a Mamba Monster in it, pretty powerful! i mean, you can run whatever system you want in your RC8e, so i guess it really just depends on that.
