I can't see myself spending that much on electrics.
I would rather buy 1000 flashlights at the dollar store and sell them on ebay. [8D]

I second the rosetta stone thing. But sadly, i think him and 1 other person on this board actually type that way on purpose. Guess they like being thought of as idiotic or are trying to get attention.....? Beats me. I'd probably get a 1/10 touring car to race at the local track. Used to race 1/10 nitro touring and miss it.

Probably the same guy, he just does it to get under everyone's skin and I guess it works. He obviously can't be that bad of a speller if he can read our posts and comprehend them.

1994 Toyota Paseo with fried transmission - $200
Transmission rebuild kit - $76
Tires - $375
Case of ATF - $25 or whatever it is
oil and filter - $10

Drive it till it needs the oil changed, sell it for $1800, and buy more toy car stuff.

Oh, wait...that's really what happens, not fantasy[&:]
go get some windshield motors out of the junk yard, a long range RC radio, rig it all up and have a 1:1 scale gasser

Sad thing is it would probably still be cheaper than a baja 5B

By the way, what I would do with $1000... easy decision...

Mugen MBX6E or Xray XT8e (if it ever comes out).
Tekin RX8 2250kv combo
Spektrum reciever
4x 3S 5000mAh lipo batteries.

try a Serpent some day....much more durable rig then a Mugen.......better handling and faster too...... I still have my Mugens, but after running a Serpent I am selling the Mugens, sick and tired of breaking control arms...I believe the Serpent is built by X-Ray....or at least in same factory !

I plan to. But I'm always a little worried about new entries. While I'm aware they have a great on road heritage, I hear the serpent off roaders have a whole bunch of teething issues, I can't remember anything specific, but I'm going to wait for the second generation truggies just as a precaution. I want to try something by those Durango guys too, I keep hearing good things about them.

We have both Durango and Serpent....... the Serpents are already on version 2 with the EVO kit...the original buggy had issues with the radio tray, that has now been corrected with the EVO, the Truggy has no issues as it has all the fixxes over the first get Buggy......... I currently run a Mugen and my business partner runs the Serpents.... Serpents are top notch IMHO, pretty much the fastest truggy chassis on the planet as far as I am concerned...

Savage Flux with a couple of lipos. If there is anything left, I'd just get hop-ups.

I would be down for the flux to.

If I had a smooth enough surface I would get a tc4 and do some speed runs.

LST XXL
TDR Motor mount
cc1717
Mamba XL
8s

Cuts it kinda close to $1000, but it can be done depending on what you get selling off parts from the XXL. Still worth it for a big, bad, high powered MT.
