I.D. PLEASE: Help me identify these two
Hello All,
First post, so please forgive me if pics did not load.
Please help me to identify the Nitro Cars in these photos. I picked these two up at auction with no bodies. Fairly clean and all parts present accept for the bodies, and airfilters. They just came in yesterday, so i have not yet run them (i expect the worst, but hope for the best!). Any comments would be appreciated, i have some gas and supplies on the way, so i cannot tell you yet if they run, althougth the morors look fairly clean in and out.
I think the purle chassis is a CEN racing fun factor, but want to be certain (1/10th Scale).
The othe Looks to be a DTX (duratrax) but i don't know the model. (1/8th scale)
I would love to have the manuals for these so i can order correct parts/ and also fix whatever needs to be repaired to get them going properly.
Can anyone tell me why the air filter nipple is capped off on the purple one? Are they worth restoring if they do not run?
Thanks So Much!

RE: I.D. PLEASE: Help me identify these two
Thanks alot! Downloaded the manual, will certainly help.
My sons are dying to see these things run, hopefully this weekend we can get something started. Will update the post with results.
Also, i intend to sell or trade one, maybe both and get something more updated.
Any idea of value would be appreciated.
Also using your positive ID i was able to find out that blue is actually the RAZE ST Truggy to be exact. Thanks Again.

the purple truck is a Cen Funfactor ST... not really popular, but a fun truck in its day.. parts can still be had on ebay... Not much breaks except the dog bones.. they are not the strongest.. The carb is capped off because the air filter is not on the truck... smart way to store the vehicle if sitting for a long time.. PM me if you have any questions about the truck.. especially if you plan on keeping it..

RE: I.D. PLEASE: Help me identify these two
Thanks for your help and offer to assist.
I have decided after the weekend, and trying to get these two up and running, to keep them. I got them each for 80 bucks, with Traxxas TQ (1TQ3)remotes.
Thispast weekend i tried to get them running, and of course awakened the hobby beast, ran to my LHS that i did not know existed when i began the post, stimulated the local economy, was late for a baptism, and STILL did not get them started! Ahhh the good old days!
That is the fun of it though, and i have notsubjected my sons to toomuch of the running around as to not discourage them with their first real R/C experience.
My wife says i have thattwinkle in my eye that only comes with fishing or mock-procreation, andthen she tried to hide my wallet
I will keep you all posted, FYI's i started on motor first, before istart replacing anything else, including receivers (1 was FM, both remotes were AM), which 1 is definitely shot.Imay not have had the glow ignitor chargedenough, will try agoin today or tomorrow, and that is when the real questions start.
Bottom line, ithink for relatively low overallcosts, i canget these up and running for myboys to have their own starter cars, and also learn aboutmotors and radio waves.
Will keep youposted!

RE: I.D. PLEASE: Help me identify these two
Thanks All,
With all of your help, i was able to identify these and get one of them running (the CEN fun factor)!
I have moved my vehicle specific inquiries to more targeted threads, and just wanted to leave a little thank you note here.
