New motor

Default New motor

Im getting a new motor and esc for my losi 8 truggy 2.0 ive picked out this motorwww.horizonhobby.com/Products/Default.aspxbut i dont know what kv i should get they are all the same price so how do i pick what i should get for my car (this is the first motor im buying so thats why i need help)

i would say get the 2200KV option but that's just my opinion. though there probably isn't gonna be much difference, so i wouldn't fret about it.

Well thanks for the input just it goes form 1500kv-2650kv that just seems like a big difference and i just used the 1900 because it was the first link i saw to copy and paste

could ask on the truggy forum, my guess is they will say something around 1850kv(what I see most recommended for truggies, and buggies)

If you're just bashing, I guess it really doesn't matter. If you're planning on racing, generally the higher-powered (higher kv-rated) motors aren't needed.
Just keep in ming that the higher kv-rated motors are going to have less runtime than the lower rated ones.

Okay well i race im new at it but ive been trying to race and my old motor fried at the end of my season so just trying to get a new one
