It's not my video it was uploaded by AirAgeMedia1 on youtube, I guess they weren't meant to release the video yet or something and they messed up. Oh well at least a few of us got a sneak peek.

While we bash Traxxas about...well...everything, they have done a lot of good bringing things out first, and maybe an affordable RC drag car is what the hobby world needs next. There are many people out there who would love to get into RC dragsters, but there is just not enough out there ATM to justify it. Maybe this would help give the drag racing world a little push and open it up in more areas. You never know!

If you want to check out some rc drag sites that sell cars go to dragrace concepts, rc car kings, grand motorsports and team walbern those are the most popular that sell high end drag cars. they have all classes from pro stocks up to top fuel cars and all the parts and we all know we will need those parts....

Looks like the esc is only rated to 3s?
so going faster than the claimed speeds may not be much more without a motor and esc swap... [:-]

For 500 i can put together a T/F railthat will run 1.5s @ at least 85 mphconsistently in 132 ft

Agree 100% i rather pick up anyone of those grandmotor sport dragsters which will probably be half the weight of this traxxas car AND less rotating weight in the drive-train as well.

Ive always wanted a dragster but, ive never jumped on the bandwagon because i have no where to use it, with the release of this car it will cause a more mainstream support for this type of racing which is the only reason im happy about this car, it seems all rcdragracing under ground, as its not promoted near as much as a monster truck, buggy ETC........

Im super excited personally about the timing tree, any RC tree will cost over 2g (from what ive always understood) the fact traxxas is pushing this out at as such and affordable price is really making me happy.

There will be many fools buying this car and as soon i as see more and more of them in person i will remain quiet and just show up one day with a grandmotorsport QUALITY PRO level dragster and tear them all apart................JK......Actually im serious....HAHAHA

PS if foam tires are not available for this car QUICK, it will be worthless. Hopefully those tires aren't made from the same garbage compound as the XO-1 wheels.

I have been interested in a RC drag car, but I think I'd prefer nitro or, even better, gasoline.

I left nitro almost 3 years ago, but while i ran nitro i did own top of the line motors, and pipes......some of which i decided then and there it wasnt worth selling and id rather keep............i still own 3 motors that i know will blow the doors off anything in circulation even today. I only kept the motors INCASE drag racing ever took off in my area. If dragracing was to take off id have one car in each class brushless BUT for this type of racing........i wouldnt mind pulling out the ol starter box and nitro fuel.


Ill never in my life return to nitro racing in a circuit type set up EVER again........but drag racing nitro id consider it only because the only cost id have involved is the car itself because i still have tons of gears, clutches, motors ETC

But since u are in the know. would u kindly explain it to others..

If traxxas did come out with a snowmobile, one with a brushless motor, 2.4ghz, and actually had a "studded track", i would probably purchase it. i think it would be awesome! "Traxxas!!!, The Fastest Name on Snow!"
