Kyosho Mad Force Kruiser. Thoughts, Opinions.
So I was actually looking for a Rally Car until I ran across this monster truck. I already have a Savage but I'm loving the solid axle design and the entire suspension set up. I also like the scale frame. Looks like a solid performer. What do you guys think? Thoughts, opinions on this truck. Also how is Kyosho quality in general. I don't want to hear about Triggies or Buggies. Please. Thanks. Also dont want to hear about electric. Just not interested.

looks cool to me.
im sorry, a monster truck without a nitro engine really isn't a monster, monsters are loud, breath fire, and smell bad. while brushless may be as fast or faster, its like a Nissan leaf monster truck.... doesn't make sense...

I've always heard pretty much positive things about the Mad Force. Not sure if it's quite Savage or Losi level when it comes to bashing - but I would fully expect it to be better than stock Traxxas.
I had a 10th scale Kyosho onroader, and it was excellent quality and durability. Kyosho makes good stuff IMO.

The Mad Force is an AWESOME truck! Good luck breaking it actually. Tough as nails. Look up some youtube videos. (just watch for electric because it used to be the Mad Force was the Nitro version and the Twin Force was the electric). Buddy of mine has a twin force with dual 17 turn brushed motors and that thing wheelies all the time and he bashes it HARD!!

I've heard some good things about it, tough looking truck. I say go for it! It's on my eventual wish-list.
Kyosho makes quality stuff, no doubt.

i don't think it would be very easy to snap the suspension on that thing...
RCU has a article about this thing, i want one now! 3 speed transmission, simple suspension, only 9.5lbs and costs much less than Traxxas T-maxx.
that's what i would buy, but if anyone knows me, i like things simple, durable machines that can perform as well or better than it's more complex counterparts.

The Madforce is an excellent truck, I have had 4 of these trucks in different variants,
first one I bought was the original kit version and it was fantastic, but the later models came with some of the bugs worked out,
earlier models ran a very stiff suspension setup with way too much height also, so we're very tippy,
The latest model of the Madforce, the Kruiser has an extended rear section and a lower ride height with soft plush suspension,
These trucks rocket on acceleration and have a top speed that is just about controllable,
If I were looking for something different than the norm I'd definitely buy a Madforce Kruiser,
Simple design, light weight and very fast as far as 1/8 monster trucks go.

It's really a no-brainer how to proceed:
Step 1: stare at pics of Madforce Kruiser
Step 2: raise funds to get a Madforce Kruiser.
Step 3: stare at more Kruiser pics, then order it
Step 4: Bash the ever-living snot out of it
Step 5: Smile

It's just a tough looking truck. I'd love to get one some day too. The initial price can be a bit of a shock, but if I were smart and saved instead of keep spending $$ on other smaller RC things, the saving up would happen quicker.
Then again, there's too many things I want (other RC kits, etc). I need an MT though, and this fits the bill.
Anyone look at the Kyosho DMT (for electric fans), or the MFR?

They seem to be more "race truck" looking, but still a big MT. Then again, the solid axles of the Kruiser are just too cool.

I don't want the electric, but I've pretty much settled on my next MT being the nitro Mad Force. Live axles, three speed, incredibly simple, incredibly durable, can't go wrong!
As far as Kyosho quality I'd say it's pretty good. I've only had mini-Zs, though. But those mini-Zs put up with all sorts of hell and more or less just shrugged it off, and I've used the transmitters to control my 1/10ths, so they're pretty good from my experience.
