I know I am jinxing myself here, but in the six months I've been in "the hobby" I've yet to lose any sort of body clip. I'm surprised as easy asthese seemeasy tolose....but have been fanatical about keeping them in the same spots at all time. I thought perhaps in a "crash" or something I'd lose one, but not yet. Am I alone....or are have you do you guys ever lose these?

I lose way too many...

Funny thing I went to the LHS once bought 20 put 4 on a RC, and lost the bag somewhere with the other 16 [:@]
I've ground down a few into oblivion on my savage flux when it does a flip skid while trying to stop it on cement (along with the body post)

almost every session i lose one, but im usually beating the heck out of my MT, and I can't fill it without removing the body.

Only from the savage, but I seem to lose at least one almost every run.

I haven't been in the surface world long but I got some clip savers for my basher. They seem to hold them in place so I don't lose them. They were cheap too, install was a little time consuming but I am a perfectionist.

I think those things are great for some folks, but I would never put the on one of my bodies, too much impact on the aesthetics...

I agree for my nice body but my basher is beat so the look isn't so important as the function.

I don't tend to lose body clips very often. I have before, but it seems rare. More often lately, it's from dropping them when I'm pulling the shell off, and losing them in the dirt.

  I bought a box of 100 years ago. Still using from the same box. And they are better quality and cheaper than a lot of the ones you find at the hobby shop.

that and just another piece for my to grind off/find when it flips, and rips them out
I have a hard enough time keeping track of parts of my bodies... (seriously last time I took my savage out I spent 35 mins looking for a piece of the body, stupid 2 part body)

I've actually lost none while driving. They usually get lost when I set them on the body and forget they're there. Then, when I pull the car/truck off the shelf they fall off and bounce under the shelf or wherever things like that go.

I think they go into a void in the space time continuum seeing they can never be found again.

Thanks for the responses. I personally can't believe we've not lost any....as often as I take them off (MULTIPLE times per day)...and my Losi has body clips in other areas than just the body (battery compartment, air/filter, etc).

I've disciplined myself be torobotic in any time I take one off, into its box it goes-even if just to start the car. As noted I'm confident I've jinxed myself now...but appreciate hearing about other folks' experiences with these little pieces.

i've stopped using them. instead, i use zip ties. what you do is put them around the mount and tighten them, then take them off and pull them one more notch. you have to force them on but they are easy to find and hold just as well as clips.

I lose body clips every time I even look at my RC cars. I go through them faster than toilet paper. It's almost like they just disappear. I would run a car around for a max of 2 minutes, it would come back with one body clip. I'm to the point where I order them 100 at a time.

You can usually buy massive numbers of them off ebay which is what I do. I paid $3.50 shipped for 50 heavy duty body clips. Much beefier than the one's I paid $1 for per 5 clips.

So many that I bought a box of 500 from Ace hardware. LHS get $3.95 for 20. Ace wants $8.95 for 500... Kind of a no brainer...

yea love how clips cost so much at the LHS, just like their magic 50 cents a piece screws that hardware stores sell 50 for $5

you pay for the convenience, and thats very important to alot of people, but me? nah, I don't mind driving a bit to save a ton.
