...I just bought a traxxas. Brand new as well. lol. My first in 27 years in the hobby.
I know that'll bring a smile to a few people's faces around here.
Here's an interesting social experiment, let's see who knows me well, or rather who has been following my recent RC history...
Which traxxas did I buy? (EDIT: Skip or read to page 4 to see what it is!) I'll give a little help...consider that I already have a 1/8th Savage Flux with tons of cash in it, and I despise the slash...what then does traxxas make that would interest me? (edit Take TWO guesses.
5 Stars to every person who guesses right before the first 5 stars are given (in other words, if when I check next, multiple people have posted the correct answer, all will get 5 stars)
This will run until I can post a pic of it in my hands, which should be Friday or Saturday latest. Lots of time for plenty of people to get some stars

You bought a summit
Why don't you like Traxxas? I have a slash and I really like it. I kow most people don't like products based on past experience but what happened with your last traxxas that makes you dislike them?
congrats on the new purchase hope you have fun with it and NO problems

It's that they represent a market segment in which they exploit the lack of knowledge of new hobbyists (with wild speed claims, etc) and overcharge for their stuff. As I've said before, they ARE a good brand for beginners, apart from the expensive part, because they do live up to their claim of excellent support. I have been in the hobby a very, very long time, and as you do, over the years, I've worked my way up the quality scale of models. I will very soon ebe posting a very special project of mine, which I've been thinking about for a long time, and finally been in a position to start and complete (should be done in a week or so depending on time taken for parts to be delivered), an Xray XT8 with a very high quality brushless conversion and one of the most powerful electronic sets available. This car will be literally the pinnacle of what is available to 'the man on the street' in the surface hobby...when you see that thread, check out the beautiful photos of the Xray under the hood and you'll see why I don't generally look at traxxas stuff twice. But once again, before the fanboys jump on me, I have a certain respect for traxxas that they make it easy (if a little more expensive than necessary sometimes) for noobs to get to grips with the hobby.
I'll wait til we have a few more guesses before handing out any points...

Nice change from the usual burning people do of brands without being able to back it up. I see this all the time in Air stuff and even at the field.
I am looking forward to your build thread on your Xray

I'm guessing it would have to be something interesting, and the Summit fits that bill. Not sure if you'll go for the big fella or the 1/16 though. So I'll guess Summit 1/16, since it's cheaper.

I was going to give another clue here, but I changed my mind lol...
I will say that its not an ERBE. Those who guessed ERBE, feel free to go again.
In fact, everyone who's posted up to now (and may or may not be correct) feel free to have another go. Future posters, have two guesses too to make it fair and maybe spread some points around.
Thanks for the * rating by the way whoever that was, much appreciated.

Summit or Pede 4X4 I'd guess
hard call seeing they technically only make like 5 or so unique RC's but have like 24 or so marketed with dif bodies, and arms/whatnot
I say we get 3 points if were in the right chassis family
seriously what happened did you not line a jump up with your xray and hit yourself upside the head?

I'll put the Dragster as my #2, cuz it's...weirdly different.
So:
1/16 Summit
Dragster

1/16 Summit
Dragster

I think it would be cool if I let this run until I can post a pic of it in my hands. I'm supposed to be picking it up Friday, loads of time for people to have a chance for some stars. Two guesses each, I'll be counting!

Mini Xray was stolen (not really, I was paid for it, but I didn't want to part with it ) a few weeks ago. I'm too nice to people sometimes. A good friend's lady was quite taken with it, it would have been ungentlemanly to refuse, still mildly annoyed about it though. The way they see it I have a million RC cars and different ones every time they see me, how are they to realise that was probably the only one I didn't want to part with. I got a fair price for it of course, and they know they got an uncommonly good quality RC for their casual commitment to the hobby (they both RC, casually)... Oh well...bye bye...

@savagecommander
Athens has no waterways whatsoever, the Greeks filled them in and built on them lol. So what are your two shots (specific current models)?
