Default Air compressor

Hey guys. When I first read/heard about guys in the hobby having an air compressor, I thought, "why?"

50+ cans of compressed air later...I now know why! ;-) I finally bucked up an got me on....does just what I need (and more). Aside from the actual scrub/cleaning I do, it's great each night to just throw some nitro cleaner on it and blast away (whether I've run them or not). All our sports balls are completely aired, keeping the car tires at perfect air pressure, etc. (And I'm sure I will find many more things to do with it.)

I never would have thought I'd like one, but boy I love it!

Anyone considering....I recommend it!

I have a decent twin-cylinder compressor then I take my portable 5 gallon air tank with me to the track, just enough to blow them off to look nice for the mains

I have a little 30 liter, it does the job for blowing dust off cars and doing tires and stuff. Was less than $100 I highly recommend em.

I got a little 1 gallon that I paid like $70 for
I figured compressed air cans would cost me way more seeing I'd have to drive to the LHS to buy them ($8 round trip in gas) and pay a few bucks a pop for the can.
That and I've also used it with an automotive paint sprayer (when I have to spray bigger things) I couldn't imagine using a can for that lol
actually I've been thinking of getting a 2+ gallon one recently, but haven't due to lack of room to store it

I would be lost without an air compressor. Got a 50 gallon 5hp for the shop at home and a small 1/2 gallon one for the track.
Could imagine working on the big (full sized) cars without it.
Makes life so much easier!!

I have myself a little pancake compressor. Everyone should have one. You have water available in your home, why not compressed air?

i have 2, a big 10 or so gallon on a wooden dolly that my great grandpa probably built decades ago. it is a very cool looking contraption. it was used for filling tires for the longest time (60psi cutoff so not very useful for tools). i also have a little craftsman tankless 100psi compressor with a misc brand 110 psi 5 gallon portable tank. i used to use the tank to power an airbrush, but i never filled it past 30 psi so it was empty in a couple minutes (cant have it filling and in use at the same time for some reason). i also used the big compressor for airbrush work but it was too loud.
