Default Is my esc toast?

My friend and I were running our sc10s on my track the other day and we had to wet the track down for better grip and less dust. There was one spot on the track that got too much water and as luck would have it, I hit it. Almost immediately I lost power and the truck would stutter instead of going forward. I let it dry overnight and the next day it was a lot better but it still stutters while accelerating from a stop or while switching between forward and reverse. I can drive it but it still gets this glitch. Do you think I fried something? I took the esc apart and poured some dirt out of the case and cleaned the circuit board with a toothbrush but so far it's still the same

umm could be the RX too
try drying that out
also try disconnecting the servo (unlikely but could do it)

but yes there is a good chance you fried it.

He wants you to disconnect the steering servo and try it,

Sometimes a servo going bad can effect an esc signal.

My friend bought a brand newSC10 RTR to start racing, made it through 2 practices, on 3 practice at the track the ESC crapped out. Another friend had a spare out of a SC10 RTR, we put that in, ran made it to the 1st qual. When they called the 2nd qual that ESC crapped out. Apperently they have issues with them. I loaned him my Traxxas XL5 and he was good to go for the rest of the night
