They're likely actual hubsan's that they re-badged. I can't see traxxas setting up manufacturing for helis, but they want a piece of everyone's market.

this has to be a good deal 50% of the cost is on the item and the other 50% goes to customer support just in case you ever need to phone them.

I wonder if you need an iphone 5 for it to fly. Without the iphone 5 and the app, it just sits there......looking pretty.....maybe spins the rotors a little bit.....

The DR-1 looks to be a little bigger than the QR-1 in the hand pic. I think they both look like pretty cool little machines to kill some time indoors on a rainy day. The main reason I haven't gone back to mini helis after trying a few is parts support so if parts are easy to get i might have to give them a try.

the quad should be good, but I like the helimax 1sq and for no price difference I bought the helimax, it is an awesome machine, and you can put so much end point in it it will flip within 10 inches of the ground. not to mention you can bind it to higher end radio's if you wanted.

I bought the 1SQ (aka Nine Eagles Alien) for $80 plus another $25 for the Anylink. That's more than twice the price of the Hubsan X4 ($40-$60). The ability to use my Spektrum TX sold me, but I'll more than likely still by the X4 when they are back in stock for $40. I can get one now for $60.
