Where can I find an 8s lipo battery for the hpi baja 5b flux. Or how can I make one? Only 8s I have ever seen were for planes.

You can put any number of identical (capacity) packs together in series to make 8s. Like a pair of 4s packs OR a 6s and a 2s.

A "plane" battery will work just fine as long as the c rating is high enough.

Id buy 2 of these 5800mah 4s, 45c constant packs and a "Y" harness.

when I looked on ebay, the cheapest 8s pack was over $200. A pair of these packs and a "Y" harness is less than $140
