Default 25c vs 70c lipo

I bought a Venom 2s5300mah 70c lipo for a very good price at my LHS. What performance differencesshould I expect tosee from the 2s 20c-25c lipos I have been running? I have a Stampede with Castle Sv2 esc and 4600kv motor.

You might see a bit of a performance increase, but you might not. Those electronics of yours don't draw that much current compared to some of the bigger ones so 25c might have been enough for them. Either way it won't hurt.

I agree.

Also, it depends on the mAh capacity of the 20C packs because both numbers together will determine the available current. Even if they were 5000 packs, Idoubt you'll see much, if any, performance increase.

Thanks for the replies. I run mostly 5000mah to 5600mah packs, so I guess I won't notice much of a difference. But hey, 50% off so I can't complain! I may drop in a mamba monster someday in the future, maybe I'll reap the benefits of the 70c then.

One big advantage of the 70C is you will not be able to abuse it through amp draw or charge rates. This should result in better battery life.

Less heat from the amp draw = better battery life.

I wonder tho: why wouldn't he see a performance increase?  I had an Sv2 system.  Tho now I run a 35A EZrun with a 4300kv motor.  I went from 4000mah 30C to 5000mah 40C and saw a BIG performance increase in the mid-range to top-end power. And I would think the Castle system would suck more power than my little EZrun.
