What was your favorite nitro engine and what was your worst.
First off people please speak from practical experience and remember persons experiences will vary with the same brand of motors.
Best: OS small blocks for ease of use and tuning. The vertex .25 in the tower terror worked great for me and was rev happy. The GS .25 was also one of my favorites, oh and the best screamer was a HPI .15 ss, this enginer really would rev and sounded super awesome and was very quick.
Worst: Traxxas 2.5 had problems with blowing up even after proper break in with Traxxas fuel i've had 2 blow up on me. The worst Supertigre .27 red head engine, what a piece of ****. followed break in to a (t) and blew up each time. It was rebuilt under warranty once.

Best Bigger engine: Force .28 starts in 3-4 pulls, and barely needs any re-tuning came in my Jammin X1x(actually the engine was the deciding factor that got me to buy buggy over the hyper 7 TQ black)
Best smaller HPI Nitro Star .15 thing has never let me down even though the RC it was in let me down repeatedly(why I no longer use the engine too).
worst period: K4.6 in the 1st 10 tanks(I'm counting the 1st 6 break in tanks) the con-rod's brass bushing shattered, and went up into the piston area. Was wondering why the engine started working better. Saw metal shavings in the oil leaking from the exhaust, and took it apart which was when I found out about the con-rod. Prior to that tuning it was a PITA as it would lose tune very easily.

The Team Associated .15 in my NTC3 was an absolute jewel.
My OFNA buggy Force 26 was horrible (although the Force 28 was fine).

Favorite engine would have to be a NovaRossi .12 i ran in one of my RS4s quite a few years ago. Least favorite, or should i say an engine i absolutly HATE, would be the TRX 3.3.

my traxxas 3.3 would need to be re tuned ever time a cloud went past and blocked the sun out. lol it was so fussy when it came to temperature.

Mine was the same. It puts out good power, but i could never get it to hold a tune. That, and those 2 plugs on the carb are rediculous. Easiest thing in the world to strip out.

Best: RB WS7- good performance/mileage/tuning
Jammin JPX.21 - not so smooth/not too good mileage, but powerful.
Worst: Traxxas TRX2.5 and TRX3.3 - both were hard to tune. Carbs liked to vapour lock. 2.2 broke a rod during breakin.

Aww, there are tons of good engines out there, just that ain't one of 'em, lol. I got even with my 3.3. My old neighbor and I used it for target practice. I felt much better afterwards......

My favorite has to me my Rossi HT21 engines (I still have 3 plus a complete rebuild kit).
(not my photo)
With the ceramic coated piston, I have routinely run them in excess of 400 degrees and have over 10 gallons through one and it is still as tight as can be.

I Never tried an OS or RB, but out of the brands I did use Novarossi was my favorite. They are easy to tune and will hold a tune, fast too. Jammin was the worst although I had
