Fuel Filter Cooler Pressure Regulator
ooking to buy "Answer-RC Fuel Filter Cooler Pressure Regulator" pic included
Now I've read a whole load of different opinions on these...
Some say it should be fitted between fuel ine and carb?
Some say it should be fitted between exhaust and tank?
Some say they don't work? etc etc.
I'd really like to hear from you guys and get your opinion whether these are a good investment or not.

a fuel FILTER is always a good idea.
as far as the pressure stablizing if used between the exhaust/tank...sounds iffy to me.
With these kinda claims....if it worked, everyone would be using them for that.
So, filter yes....other claim, I doubt it.
I wonder if its good to use as a filter tho....a filter shouldnt reduce flow. But how could it stablize pressure between the muffler/tank unless it reduced flow somehow?
Id just buy a regular fuel filter.

From the bits I've read and I quote, the stabilzer cools the fuel in the tank so when it reaches the carb the fuel isn't hot which therefore should make tuning easier

It doesnt cost much more than a standard fuel filter, so I guess it would not hurt to try. but in my mind, it wont do anything but filter the fuel.

According to the details, this item can be a fuel filter or a pressure regulator, but not at the same time.So it either goes in the pressure line (as a regulator) or thefuel line (as a filter). It uses a mesh gauze filter, which is not as effective as asintered bronze filter found in most fuel tanks. Pressure regulators have been marketed before. Based on the lack of people using them, they arequestionable as to effectiveness.

Personally looks like junk that claims it does more than it does (like those super chargers for nitro 
)
how can it cool the fuel unless it is powered? It should heat up right with the fuel.
also its an extra place to develop an air leak.

some inline filters can be bad news, Its just another spot to leak air.
I understand the theroy of how it works, but I bet it would suffer from heat soak and dont think it would work after 5min of runing

A filter is a good addition between the tank and the carb and having the heat sinks to help cool the fuel may be good too. The fuel can get higher in temp due to the pressure line from the exhaust to the tank to aid in fuel moving to the carb. I use heat sink coolers for the line running from the exhaust to the tank and a seperate fuel filter between tank and carb. Don't know how much the cooler helps but I give it a try anyway.

I picked up a couple of these things a while back. Put one between exhaust/tank as well as one between fuel filter/carb and never really noticed a difference.

Thanks for all your input I've decided to go with just a fuel filter seems like its the more sensible option
