Both the TEU-104/105bk mention low voltage cut offs in the instructions. Do these work for lipo's or do I still need a low voltage alarm? I'm a little confused.

104BK has a LiFe LVC which is too low for LiPo's so yes you will need a alarm as the LVC is 100% worthless to lipos. If the LVC engages on the 104bk while using a lipo you might as well throw the lipo in the trash as its was over discharged

they have those alarms on Ebay real cheap and they work well, I use one in my CC-01 even though I have never ran the lipo down that far...I bet it would run for well over an hour.

I have a few of those cheapo alarms
generally on brushed you will get tired before the thing is ready to quit as I learned
I remember the 1st time it went off I was thinking WOW I WONDER IF THAT CHEAP AS S THING EVEN WORKS as I was outside for over 30 mins going mostly full throttle, like 2 mins later it went off and when I checked the cell voltage it alarmed when they hit 3.3 volts a cell

I hear you, I have never hit the alarm with my CC-01.... (stock silver can)

I ran my hornet for 20 minutes today. Only put 900 mah back into the 3800 lipo I'm running. I did order a couple of the buzzers though.

now I think about it I don't think I even charged the battery before using it when it rang. Pretty sure it was just off a storage charge
