What surfaces are you running on? How long do you want a set of times to last? What motor and batteries are you running? Carpet racing modified sedans in a rubber tire class, I could go through 2 sets of tires on a race day. (Each set good for around 20 minutes of running).

RE: best tires for traction?
they are for speed runs on concrete and asphalt. i need tires that will last more than 1 day of driving though. its the ezrun 8.5t and 60a esc with a 3s 4000 mah 40c-80c lipo.

Im Joking, but it would be a interesting project to test.
Brushless touring cars do have problems with traction. It will allways be there, sure some tyres might help out, but in the long run its still going to be a problem.
Generally a cheap set of foam tyres with some traction compound will be better than stock. But might not have the look u want... Still have a look anyway,
Good luck

RE: best tires for traction?
some carpet racers can go through a set every heat, others can run daily and use the same tires for years. it boils down to you and the quality/shore (stiffness) of the foam. if you have a throttle finger with a couple of functioning nerves, a decent set of tires should last you a while. how long is more dependent on the road condition than anything else.

lol, what type of surface do u drive on?
bitumen is more abrasive than concrete, concrete is more abrasive than carpet, carpet is more abrasive than grass....ect

RE: best tires for traction?
if your running brush less on the street
your kinda damned if you do damned if you dont
harder tires will last longer
but a medium compound will give you better traction
if you really want traction do what the tracks do
use medium/firm foam tires
and then buy a pump bug sprayer
fill the sprayer with a sugar water combo (corn syrup works to)
then spray the concrete where you will be running
this will give you awesome traction at a low cost
and since you are using firm foams your tires should last a bit longer
ps do this away from your house to keep the ants away lol
