Default Wanting to build something

Hey Everyone,

I'm pretty new to this hobby, and I am going to build a project for a class I am taking. I would like to get parts and build my own car to some degree. The focus of the project is more about electronics and controls than RC and mechanics. So, what would be would be ideal, is a prebuilt chassis (frame, tires, motors) that I can then interface with.

Does anything like this exist? Thanks very much!

I'm guessing you more then likely will want cheap as it sounds durability isn't going to be a huge issue if I'm right on what you want to do.(guessing interface it to a micro controller something like an arduno or raspberry pi)
umm how big do you physically need it (length, and width) cause there are vehicles that are $60 all the way over $1000 lol
And what exactly do you want it to be able to do, and how fast for top speed

Tamiya makes nice kits, you have to assemble and add your own radio and steering servo.
easy kits are lunchbox, DT-02
TA-01 and TA-02 or CC-01 are more complex 4wd kits.
Prices range from $100-$200.
