Default Motor bolt - old RC …Likely a simple answer

Sooooo
been out of RCs for longer than a lot of people been alive.
I’ve got two very old (30+ years) RCs
been joking around with friends about the old days and remembered I still have these. I disassemble the race car (bolink II elite, just removed electrics and stuff) and was thinking of putting things all back together to play with it.
my parts box got damp over time, and some of my bolts became.. well dust.
I’m looking for the size and thread of the bolt that attaches the motor to mount. So it would be the hole on the electric motor that I’m sizing, just thread and width is all I need. It’s not big, smaller than an m6. But it’s close.
I know it’s a simple answer but instead on buying 4 different size bolts figured asking may be easier.

M3x8 is a general sized motor mount screw. Some of my favorite socket heads are the ones with a spring washer

I doubt they used metric back then, pretty sure SAE 4-40 and 5-40 threads were more common, check the manuals here to see what I mean:

Every 540 sized motor that I've ever "bolted to" a motor plate used M3 screws.

I misread the question, the hardware used in the kit is 4-40 but yes the vast majority of 540 motors use 3mm threads
