Default Hpi .25

I recently bought a hpi .25 of eBay I put it in my car today and when I rolled it over by hand it made a click at tdc and was hard to roll past it almost as if the piston is hitting the head? I started it got it to run for a sec and it cut out just curious before I continue on if there is something wrong

The .25 is it pull start type engine or not?
It is normal for a new engine to turn hard due to the tightness of the piston and sleeve
use hair dry dryer to heat up the engine to loosen it up during break in, also see your manual regarding break in
period.

The 3 hpi 25s I have all did the same (as was the case with several of my nitro engines. I wouldn't worry about it.

Holy detonation Batman. Why are you taking out head shims?

I said I added shims when I thought the piston was hitting so I will take them back out and leave the one original shim that was in there check my piston to head clearance and go from there

Run it reach for @ least a gal or two, lot of smoke. If it's hard to turn use hair dryer to heat up the engine to loosen it up,
you might need to keep your glow igniter in to keep the engine running. Others may give you suggestion of how to do it.
