They're full of all kinds of bogus info. I'm not surprised. That's what happens when you have your marketing reps write your PR crap. Just like the owners manuals.

I love the comment on the #10 plug being ideal for .60 and up aircraft engines. Cold plugs and 10% nitro don't bode well at all.

I went to my LHS to buy new fuel and I told him my situation.. He said it's not the fuel and it's the tuning. So I took his advise and left without buying new fuel...

I have my needles to factory and it still won't start
Glow plug working
Glow plug igniter fully charged
Primed the engine
Tried HPI R5 and MC59 glow plugs, no difference

lol I'm running out of options :@ HELP!

How are you priming the engine? Is the plug wet when you prime it? If yes, you overprimed it and flooded it. Pull the plug, turn it upside down, and turn it over with the starter to blow the excess fuel out of it. Reinstall plug and start the engine. It should fire right up. If the plug is dry and the piston isn't wet on top, you're not priming it enough. I'm almost positive the latter to be the issue. These engines need air, fuel, and a glowing plug to run. If it's not getting one of these, it will not run.

Guess what I found! a HOLE!!!!!
I will be sending this to HPI
I personally don't think I caused this problem because the side is in the middle and if you look around it, it wasn't because of a crash.
Hopefully HPI doesn't honour the warranty and blame it to me

HPI is usually pretty good on warranties depending on how long you owned it.
Will be honest never seen a block crack like that. most I've seen was a hairline crack in an engine.

Looks like something came apart in the bottom end of the engine and that debris punched a hold in the crankcase. That's not a crack that just "happened". That engines looks eerily similar to the FE .15 I got from a buddy that came in an RS4 that had the rear bearing disintegrate on its first crank up out of the box except the FE .15 didn't bunch a hole in the block. That engine was made by Toki which are not known for high quality engines.

Do you think it's my fault or poor craftsmanship from them?

Without seeing the inside of the engine, I cannot tell you. Pull the backplate carefully and snap a clear well lit picture and we could tell you if it was faulty manufacturing. If the rear bearing came apart, that's likely not your fault. If the rod is bent or something like that, then the story may be different. It's all speculation until you look inside.

I found a thread with a very similar situation. Hole in the engine and the guy is from Toronto (I'm from Toronto and I have a hole in my engine)
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/rc-c...s-out-end.html

So it looks like I won't have a car for a month...
My LHS has my engine in stock for $97.. I'm so tempted to just buy it Today and get up and running Today

UPDATE: HPI will fix my engine for free. All I have to do is pay for shipping of $24.99

So my total cost is $10 shipping to send and $24.99 to receive = $34.99
Compared to buying a brand new engine from my LHS = $100
I save $65 but I have to wait 1 month to receive my new engine....
Now I need to figure out what to do without my car for a month...tick tock tick tock

UPDATE: They waived the shipping, so all I had to pay was the $10 to send the engine to them...
I am expecting it Today or Tomorrow =D

Update: The engine came yesterday and Today I finally installed it... It started in half a second
I finished 1 tank while idle, engine didn't die. it sounds beautiful.. Tomorrow I will do another tank to break in!

HPI support is amazing, the engine they sent me looks brand new, It was in an HPI box, they replaced almost everything that it doesn't look like my old engine (Clean, scratchless)
They also sent me rubbers and zip ties and lots of allen keys, instructions, decals etc..... (Maybe they sent me a brand new one, I can't tell)

My guess is they just sent you a new one, and threw the one you sent into the garbage.
For as long as it would take to repair they would pay someone more then replacing it lol
