Default Making the Mirage Stronger

On my Redcat Mirage's second run, I rolled it over in some grass and the top link's ball joint stripped out of the rear hub. This wasn't a violent roll, so it looks like the plastics they use are a bit fragile or the ball joint was over tightened and stripped at the factory. What I'm looking for now is some creative ways to protect this buggy better. Do you think mounting a lexan body would help? Any other ideas? I've been driving RC's for 25 years and picked this up as an intro to Lipos and brushless. I'll have to say, the speed and runtime are very impressive.
