Just getting back in to RC dusting off my cars just wondering if any thing exciting has happen lately, Or is it still a traxxas dominated constantly braking hobby?

It certainly hasn't changed at all in a long time. No new breakthroughs, just companies releasing more cars. RC evolution has come to a crawl. I have a feeling RC won't get any more advance in the next 10-15 years.

Been gone a few minutes with the same thread...
Mid motor this and that is the "hot ticket" with most off-road racing taking place on high bite clay.

Well the whole drone thing has got everybody interested, to the point of new companies popping up with such products. I think the copter sector is going to take off (random pun) and the crawlers are on the rise as well.

As others said not a hell of a lot has changed.

I don't think I've bought an RC in almost 2 years as not a damn things really changed.

Biggest thing I can think of is that some 1/8th scales have gas engines now that is probably the only real thing to happen in a long time.
