I guess you will have to search it if you want to read up the specs. It is a Trinity D3 540 Monster Horsepower Brushless 17.5.

The Trinity has less KV but more turns. I need to learn more on these motors. lol

Looks like the trinity is designed to run under the specs you have - geared tall on 3s, but in general 17.5 is not a fast motor. Where as the castle motor is made to go fast but not made for 3s with that gearing. The newer castle 4 pole motors can be geared higher than the older 2 pole. mess with it a little and you will find your gearing sweet spot for the castle motor.

So i tried a 15/86. Esc still overheated.

The motor is pretty hot too. But this gearing made it quite a but slower. That bugs me. Lol

They didnt havw any 90t spurs in stock. He said it should be okay with the 86, it wasnt though. But i fear of i do 15/90 i might as well throw the other motor back in. Lol

If i cant keep it cool i might try the trinity geared at 23/78. It kept cool unlike this castle motor. Maybe a better fan and esc will help. I just fear if i do a 90 spur it will slow down alot. The 23 to 15 already seems to have slowed it quite a bit.

Don't get anything with red cat in front of it, what scale are you looking for the traxxas vxl is like 1/10th, I think you should get an ofna hyper tt I had one of them and they are good fun and very durable.
