1/18 build decisions and suggestions
Its been a while since I owned a 1:18 model, but I remeber having a lot of fun with em. ive had revos, assscoited and an x-ray. But I was on AE website today and found that since they are being discontinued, you can get a factory team RC18.2 kit for 80 bucks!!!I figure some hobbywing stuff or a tacon and a flysky and an affordable mini servo and i can keep it under 150 bucks. I use to love my rtr brushless RC18.2 buggy. Ive noticed dromida, but dont know much about them. any body have a suggestion for another 1:18 kit or rtr Nothing that is strictly on road tho. thoughts?

I'm an Associated fan, but never looked into the 1/18 RC offerings from them. I have to laugh at their website as the "headlines" scroll across the top...there is a All New 1/18 RCs page. When you click on it you are routed to the 1/18 scale section. Top of the page is where RC18T2-RC18B2 are showing up. Go on the discontinued RCs page, they show up there as well, but only the RTRs are on the discontinued page.

I wish people would stop bringing RCs to my attention! Just kidding.
I feel compelled to look at the RC in question, and then I get feeling I should have one! Thanks, mybuggy1987.
I never kept tabs on much of anything smaller than 1/12th scale RCs. I had a couple of 1/18th scale monster trucks years ago which left a bad taste in my mouth. They had nothing even close to the design of the RC18T2-B2. Since mrbuggy1987 had a RC18B2 before...does the belt drive hold up to abuse?

yeah, I use to have a 18t2 and they held up very well to a pretty strong motor setup on 3s, but I do remember having to do some kind of free mod to make sure the belts were tensioned right, but the more I have looked, caster makes, what I believe to be the most badass 1/18 kits I have ever seen in my life. there beefy as hell and setup just like 1/8 e buggies, the pro versions that is.

but if your pure associated, you cant beat 80 for a Ft kit, where it use to be like 180.00. Go on thier website and see for yourself. They have the new reflex 1/18, but it looks to be just a retooled 18b2
