Shortening engine mounts?
I bought an electric start box to make starting the nitro's easier and to stop me breaking pull cords as they seem to be common breakages.
I needed to file the edges off the flywheel aperture of the HSP Camper to enable the rubber starter wheel to engage the engine flywheel but it works quite well, it needed to, I bought the Camper as "spares or repair" with a broken pull starter.
The problem I am having is with the Bug Crusher, I opened up the chassis the same as I did the camper but the engine flywheel seems to be too high up, I'm guessing that I need to trim 3/16ths off the engine mounts to lower it enough to allow the starter wheel to engage the flywheel.
Any tips to do this with a degree of precision?
I have looked online but can't find any smaller engine mounts so trimming the ones I have seems to be my only option, I have a micrometer and an angle grinder, no access to a mill or anything technical as yet

The Bug Crusher, as a monster truck, is not meant to be used with a starter box, but much rather a starter wand. I don't know the size of the shaft, but if you could pull your pullstart off and snap a few pics, we can find you a Sullivan Tiger Drive plate that will fit.
