Default Custom Flysky racing wheel and pedals

Here guys, Years ago i got given a Flysky gt3c that was missing the wheel and trigger.... and the other day I bought a old racing wheel from a garage sale for $10.

After a day of messing around this is the end result

Nice work !
Could you imagine the drivers stand with 10 of these ... might need a horn for the 3rd channel ... lol
Is the brake pedal also reverse ?

Here mate, ill try and explain it....

A normal RC car controller uses two pointometers for the steering and throttle (one each) and a racing wheel and pedals use three pointometers (one for steering and 2 for the pedals)

ive basically, pulled the circuit board from the RC controller, mounted it on the wheel and wired it up to the wheels and pedal pointometers.

and yes the brake pedal is reverse but....
Brake and reverse setting are done via the ESC, so with a different ESC it might not be, or to hit reverse the brake might need to be double tapped.

funny u say that about 3ch im currently in the process of flashing PSX firmware to unlock 6 channels then wire it up to the buttons. (ATM the 3rd channel is connected to the paddle shifters)

Cool, crazy, weird, wild stuff right there. I am assuming you cut up the base of the steering wheel to fit the FlySky in there. Right?

pointometer = potentiometer ?

hahah, yes... its true i cant spell to save my life and the spell checker really was not helping

But yep, I had to cut a hole for the controller and the side switch, unfortunately the controller screen its not sitting flush all the way around, but that's because the wheels housing is slightly curved,

Ok, been scratching my head, going, "So he got the wheel from a garage sale, where'd he get the cabinet?" Then it finally dawned on me: that's a Forza computer game wheel console and peddles! Now I'm visualizing how you traced the GT3C throttle trigger connection and replacing that with the peddle pots, and did the same with the steering pot. Brilliant.

So now you have a sit-down-and-drive RC controller, and you're going to add more channels and connect them to the wheel buttons? What are you gonna do with them? Great idea!

hehe... sorry,,, i should of made a more detailed post

Here ill give ya the run down on what its for....

A while back I decked out a SCX10 with the flight controller and FPV setup from a quadcopter. by doing this i was able to utilise the flight controllers sensors and connect up a GPS and a miniMOSD to have a Heads up display overlayed on the video feed in real time.
the HUD, shows things from, speed, voltage, direction, coordinates, altitude, horizon bars and climb angle, and ite really useful. I can use the horizon bars to visually see how car the truck is leaning over.

so ive got this fancy FPV crawler and needed a controller equally as cool, and this is the start of the setup.

Ive brought a new video receiver that plug into out 60" flat screen so all i need now is to make up a stand and its good to go.... then i can drive around the house and backyard all from the comfort of the lounge room
