Default Shock and Turnbuckles question

Can I put XXX-NT/XXX-T shocks on my XTM X-Cellerator? I think I can but I'm not sure.

Can I put titanium turnbuckles made for the XXX-NT/XXX-T on my XTM X-Cellerator? The turnbuckles already come with ball cups. Thanks for the help in advance.

I'm only asking these questions becasue the x-c and xxx-nt have some similar fittings.

Take a complete shock from each car and measure it. Same for the turnbuckles. If they are the same, or very close you should be able to make them work.

Thanks for the help, I hope they're close in measurments. If the turnbuckles are too short or long then I can just adjust them? Like if they are they are about 5 mm off then can I still use them? I thought with shocks it doesn't matter, but I guess I was wrong.

the shocks should be close enough.
I don't have my NT any more, but I do have a xxx-t I could measure those for you
and by the way you can order what ever size turnbuckle you need in 2-packs and 4-packs even 10-packs,
you're not stuck just buying the pre-packaged kits
Look here for the size you need
www.lunsfordracing.com
you'll want the "punisher" line for that truck
they make them in sizes from 1' to 2 7/8" in 1/8" increments
you'll find the right size

.43 What[sm=confused.gif] If you mean .43mm then yes no problem, .43" different story

The stock ball cups should work fine, If I was changing used cups/turnbuckles, I'd just get all new and keep the old set as bask ups. The Ti one still break ever so rarely.

I don't know about the wheel?
I'll measure the shocks and get back to you

Thanks again, yeah I'm pretty sure it is off by .43mm. Hold on.........What if the front turnbuckle is one mm longer can I still use it?? Where in the site can I find a 3 3/8" rear turnbuckle?? My front turnbuckles are 74mm and 3" ones are 75 mm. My rear are 85mm and the closest I can come is 84.375mm but I need a 3 3/8" turnbuckle. []

Dude,
slow down and take a breath
you want the "Punisher" line of turnbuckles, they are 3mm thick
The stock ball cups should be fine. If not you can get RPMs or Losi's set

I bet if you used the longer RPM or losi ball cups you could keep to the smaller length turnbuckles
After looking at the XTM site, I'd Go with the Losi ball cups, the XTM ones look wimpy
If I where you I get the ball cups first, then subtract the length to come up with the right size 3mm turnbuckle to use. I think the "Super Duty" are over kill for a 10th scale

The shock length
Fronts are 92mm fully extended, 65mm closed (give or take 1mm)
Rears are 104mm and 70mm

Good luck

LOL. Sorry about that. Now can I get these ball cups at Lunsford's website or do I have to go somewhere else? Other than that thanks for everything.

Sorry if I keep asking questions but I was looking at some rpm ball cups and they say that they're 4-40. What does 4-40 mean?

I don't think Lunsford sells ball cups
4-40 is the size of the threads on a screw or nut
Ball studs are the part the ball cups snap onto

If I were you I'd walk it into a Hobby shop and buy the long RPM ball cups
then measure to find which turnbukles will work.

Ball studs
