Default Scale Model R/C Classic Automobiles, Etc

I haven't seen much about building of scale R/C models of antique and classic cars, fire engines, motorcycles with sidecars, etc. It should be possible to build a model of a 1912 Maxwell or 1932 Packard, etc., using available hobby materials and geared electric motors. A large model could even carry electronic motor sound. Maybe an enterprising company could make hard-to-model parts and accessories like wheels and tires, steering gear and suspension parts in various scales. I can see nostaltia lovers building and showing such models much like scale model boaters do.

If you're looking for scale realism Tamiya is usually the way to go. They have some incredibly detailed stuff. I have yet to run across a Packard or Maxwell but it may be possible to find a static model kit & modify a small R/C chassis to fit under the model. It won't be easy & you'll have to get creative but I've heard of it being done.
