Er it quick enough still getting the carb settings sorted but with every adjustment it gets quicker. I reckon i'm on the limit now though i've got the needle set to about 2-1,3/4 turns it grips like hell with the standard tyres on though

try all new batteries. if that doesnt work then a new receiver and/or a new transmitter. you should put a failsaife on in case it runs off. wats it like

iv just found this on the deagostine web site (http://www.deagostini.co.uk/nitroracer/)

I seem to get some kind of signal intereference that makes my car go out of control, what can I do?

Signal interference from CB (citizens band) users may be the problem,
they use the same 27Mhz frequency band, this is for general surface use.

A 'fail safe' device can be installed, this will help protect your car from
going out of control due to interference. The other option would be to
upgrade your current radio gear to a 40Mhz system, this band is for
surface model use only.

my mates got this car. it may lack top end speed but its accelleration is the same as my hyper 7 tq and the turning circle is awesome. we had a drag race between a hyper 7 (mine), a hot bodies lightning and this car and it kept up for the first few metres but its limited top speed meant that it didnt keep up long.

on a tight windy track though it would be brilliant.

heres a video. (its not great) [link=http://www.geocities.com/sphongleboards/adams.avi]here[/link] (right click and save as)

my car (hyper 7 tq) has a top end of around 35-40mph and this car certainly doesnt keep up so i think that estimate was a bit optimistic. its still an awesome car though. its just more suited to a small windy area

the instruction on how to run in your car is in 1 of the issues i recomend 3 full turns of the mixture gauge big 1 that twists set ur idle small screw driver 3-4 tanks should b fine but run it 3min intervals get temps up to 200'c let it cool 10 mins then over 1-2 tanks gradually decrease the mixture it would be better if you had temp gun at hand i ran mine that way an i found prob also my no drive prob turned out to b exhaust blockage the paper gasket disintergrated and had gathered up in silencer hehe WELL THRASHED!

The pure ten is really a beginners model so all these people slagging it off, ure confusing what is designed to be a beginners model with a racing model.

i've collected the pure ten model from nitro racer and it runs really well i use a need;e setting of 2 & 1/3 if u run it below 2 ure gonna wear the engine out quickly.

when u start running it, run it at about 3 turns get a few tanks (3-4) of fuel through it ( recommend 16% as its not too fussy) then with each tank click it down a notch or two. don't try running it on the ground for the first 3 tanks cos u'll flood it out or make it dry out, remember its a dry new simple engine. also don't run it wight the body shell on for the first few runs 1/2 litre of fuel minimum as it'll overheat and conk out.

Easiest way to start it is stick on a glow starter, give it 5 secs and then slowly pull out the starter cord to full length. let it settle and then rip i a few times, once u get it run in u can normally start it on the first pull.

note to those who think it's not powerful, with the right settings and some mods like a tuned pipe it can tear down the road. i should know cos after about a week of running it my housemate had a go and maxed it into a kerb destroying the entire bumper into 4 pieces. ( need to back order the bumper issue :P) chassis held up well only minor scratching and dents nothing a small file can't smooth out.

it'll take at least a litre of glow fuel before it runs stably i'll upload some pics of the temporary repaired car till i get a new bumper in next post.
