Thanks

A car would be better as Bonefrost said.

Plus the simulator doesn't look like it has good graphics.

The $100 would be better spent on something more productive.

I know that it sounds strange to some, but let me explain why I am thinking of it.

- I don't yet own a car, so this could give me an idea of how I would like it.

- I live in a pretty rural area, about an 1.5 hours from the nearest track. I wouldn't be able to get there except every now and then.

- I could just drive around in the local wilderness, but the simulator would give me practice for those times that I did make it to the track.

- It would be a cheap way to try out many different variaties of cars both on-road and off-road before buying.

There must be somone who this doesn't sound strange to. Apparently there's a demand. Someone is making them!

Thanks for your replies.

Default It's not strange to me

We all buy what we want for one reason or another. AS you said....the companies make the software...so people must be buying it.

I have flight simulator software that I enjoy using....not because it will help me with "what it's really like" to fly. I just enjoy using the software on days when it's nasty outside and not flying weather. I hate watching TV all the time....I can only spend so much time building my airplanes....so what "other" better way to spend time that flying using the simulator software. I would suspect others would agree....maybe not on the same points that I have mentioned....but just the same...they use simulator software of some kind as well.

It's your money...your time...your choice! If that is what you want....buy it and enjoy it!

Good Luck!

The simulator though might not be like a real driving experience.

It is very hard to get something to be like real life.

Unless it is made by a huge well-experienced company then you will probably waste your money.

Duratrax RealRace G2. Good for after hours (night/winter/rainy season) "make believe" racing.
