I have not yet bought a rc car but I do plan on buying one around this month ( revo 3.3) but my girlfriend does not really care sometimes I do talk about them a bunch and sometimes shes annoyed but most of the time she is cool about it. if you find that one that really likes you they wouldnt care

oops omg i saw the title and then i saw 'yes' or 'no' , clicked yes and then i saw that there were almost twice as many 'no' votes, scrolled down to the first post and then realized what this thread was about...
anyway,personally i do not have a girlfriend , but with other people what i find is that if you balance your time just right , you can spend alot of time with your girlfriend, and your RC will still love you at the same time...of course those other people i meet dont have enough time left to come and browse forums!

the girlfriend doesn't mind too much and will usually watch us run especially when we run the buggies... she said the speed and the close racing is very exciting to watch... she also loves to watch the monster trucks run because of the speeds...

Who do you think buys me more rc's than myself...... Last one she bought me was a GEN LE, complete suprise...... either she is a keeper, or just wants me out of the house.

Gotta say I'm pretty lucky,she's not quite as expensive as this hobby (but close) and I'll either be getting a bunch of RC stuff or another RC for my birthday from her. She doesnt really mind my being in this hobby but she likes to tease me occasionally with that "guys never grow up" or "your a nerd" (in a loving playful way). Plus she's knows if I'm not with her,at work or sleeping than I'm playing with my RC's which means I'm not out doing things I shouldnt be doing .

LoL, she dont mind me being in this hobby. She often complains about how expensive it is But she happy im into this hobby rather than being on the streets. She gets mad sometimes when i talk to her about it...LoL.

I think it's more of something they "put up with". Of course theres always the "why do you spend so much on toys and not on me" thing... hate that. Although, when I showed her some of the reciepts for my full size cars, she doesnt think RC is taht bad anymore. I mean RC is about 200 for a nice engine whereas a full size car is 3000-4000.

She is neutral on the whole thing. I have an associated truck for her to play with, but she doesn't like it all that much I think. After I buy a good $500 car, I tell her well at least I am not into drugs or something hahah. She is cool with it though, so I say it is a yes.

My girlfriend isn't really into the cars, but every Saturday i go to the Air Field, some times she comes some times she dosen't.
But she said to me that she likes the planes because of all the tricks that they do.
And if she dosen't come with me shes normally doing homework or got something on with her Friends.
