Default Converted nitro savage or E-savage?

I'm looking for a monster truck, and I want it to be electric. I've read that the emaxx can be a big money pit so I want to get a savage.

The question is, Should I buy a used Nitro savage roller off of ebay and convert it to electric, or should I buy the E-savage, that hpi just released? Which is more durable? The cost of materials should be about the same either way so that doesnt matter. Durability is my best concern. Plus i thought it would be fun to do a conversion, it'd be a fun winter project and it seems easy enough to do. Should I look into another monster truck besides the savage? Would the lst or the mgt be better to convert? How many of you have done an electric conversion before? was it worth it? Thanks!

The E-savage is just an E-Zilla, other then the name and TVP's, the e-savage and it's nitro counterpart are pretty different.

I know that they are 2 different trucks.. Im just not sure which truck is a better basher. Would 1/8th scale be better for tackeling rougher terrain? So basically my question would be 1/8 scale, regular savage vs 1/10 scale E-savage. Which is stronger? Which is more fun? lol thanks!

I would think the electric converted savage would be more fun and it has a stronger drivetrain most likely.

Thats what I was hoping you'd say. It would be my first conversion but it sounds like it would be a lot of fun! Any more comments would be appreciated however. Thanks!

I found this cool site that has everything I would need to do the conversion which is real nice! They have a lot of other kits on here too.

Would a revo conversion be batter? Do the revo's weigh less than the savages?

Yes, revo conversions are pretty cool. IMO a revo is more suited to electric than a savage.

Ya, damn expensive. I'm have this chassis on order:

To go with it I have:
Titanium turnbuckles, pushrods, hinge pins, pivot balls and rocker posts.
