Here's a track I made several years ago for Mini-Zs. All the walls are padded and covered with vinyl, and it can be configured for either oval or roadcourse. I since ran out of space to store the track and ended up selling it, but it was fun while it lasted.

Road course:

Oval:

I also made a portable track for 1/10th sedans that gets pretty regular use. It's basically just white boards that join together with simple hinges - it works pretty well. I'll post some pictures of that soon.

A portable 1/10 track, but you didn't have room for the mini track.[sm=confused.gif]

Hey everyone, I'm currently in Iraq and waiting for my E-Zilla to show up in the mail. We will be building a track on the back of our lot so I'll post pics soon.

hehe Good point!

The difference is that my 1/10th track is basically just a pile of boards that will fit in a duffel bag. I can put it in the back seat of my car pretty easily. The parking lot acts as the racing surface, and that stays where it is.

The Mini-Z track, on the other hand, uses three 4' x 8' plywood sheets as the base, which means you need at least 2 people to set it up and and a pickup truck to move it anywhere. It was a pain to store.

oh, I get it now. For some reason I was thinking you had the racing surface too. That would be pretty stupid. The boards are just used for the borders though.

I started working on making a track in our feild within the atv track. I got maybe 6 passes 6' wide and about 100' long of the top soil scraped off so far. I gotta get something to drag behind the tractor to smooth it out. I really don't feel like or want to spend money to have clay delivered so I wanna do the best I can with smoothing out what I have. I would just love to put in some huge stunt type of jumps with nice transition landings that way it is easy on the cars.

So do you have to stay inside of the steaks, or is that just for measuring. What are you going to run on it. Also, good luck clearing away the grass.

Nice tracks everyone, Here's mine. I put it in the mini forum because it's mainly for my mini-t and my dads 18b. We also run 1/10 scales on it though.

I shall post pictures of my track tomorrow (assuming it doesn't rain)! All the rest of these tracks look very nice too.

I just have to get rid of 2 more portions of grass on my track and I'm set.

Sorry I wanted to just make thumbnails but ah well.

But, as you can see by the few grassy areas, I sitll have a little bit of work to do before christmas when I let the vendetta see it for the first time. Currently I (attempt to) run my 18mt on there but dirt always gets caught up in the gears and now I think I need new diffs as its making ALOT of noise and whenever its time for it to put some power down (IE: going up a hill) the wheels jus stop moving and it emits loud screeching sounds as the motor spins the garbage transmission.

Soon as I see metal/titanium gears for this thing, I'll be happy, until then, this thing should hopefully hold me over for another 5 days until I break out the detta

Hey rc_monkey, Im guessin those are your plans

How long will that take you, how much will it cost, and where is it (your garden, some random land etc.)

I think it looks really cool, what scale will it be for, 1/8 and 1/10?

Gex 61:
The stakes are just marking the land that I have to work with. I'm getting a digger in to clear the top of the ground Its for 1/10 possibly 1/8.

ry5no2:
I don't know how long it will take - mebie a couple of weekends. Hire of the digger will probably be the only cost - I have the rest of the stuff lying around and making the track is part of my christmas present Its a bit of land the we own beside my house that we drive our landrovers on. Yes it will be for 1/10 and 1/8 if my friend gets what he wants on monday
