What is the definition of a Big Block. In other words, what is a big block (sorry I'm not sure if this goes in tuning or not/couldn't find a place for it)? My Cen CT5 claims to have a "big block" engine.

make your front end softer and level to the ground....your A-Arms should be level with the ground.....you can add some weight to the front but I prefer tuning the suspension to get the desired effect.....it may take some experimenting on your part to get it right.

I have a TT01 chassis. I don't want to race, but I still would like to upgrade or hop it up. What hop up parts are good if I'm looking to only improve the over all quality of my chassis without venturing into racing? Many thanks!

I'm new with the whole RC nitro racing cars, but I just bought one and I need some help, please. The buggy starts but it accelarates on it's own with out me having done anything else. (I try moving the needle valve and the low end mixture to see if that would help but now the buggy starts and accelarates on its own and shuts off as soon as I pull the antenna up on the receiver) What do I need to do, so that I can even begin to start tunning it. And maybe then I will need some more help. Thanks.

I bought it on eBay a Sunday night and received it the next Tuesday by Canada post. It came from Toronto, 23$can shipping.

Its new and ready to use with the starting kit. Only need Nitro and 12 AA batteries. I start it in less than 15 strokes with the manufacturing setup. Its run super well, very fast. Look like all the other brands in the categories. The remote control is a bit cheepo , but it work fine.

I had to make 2 adjustment to the steering setup to make it work “freeâ€, I also add a gas Nitro filter. I try to “jack†the buggy so it can have a higher grown clearance but it tilt to early, so I am back to the original geometry. I replaced the original shocks oil for silicone grease it more stiff. Good fore paved parking, but too jumpy on off-road.

While I was tweaking the acceleration, I burn the Teflon spur gear. I order 2 (6.51$Can each) and spare set of tires (23.46$Can), and 2 days after I received it to my door. Genuine Hiroda Racing parts. 20 Min. after I was outside playing gain with the buggy.
There my home made Bumper , Winter home made spikes tires and mod’s I did on it.

Hi Scpopcorn!
Check if the intake is closing properly: By removing the air intake you can check the opening mechanism working back and forth with the same regularity of your finger on the throttle trigger of the remote. Check the minimum opening screw. Try to start it and block the intake with a wine cork while is running by it self, if the engine still running , you have air leak some were on or after the carburetor, what it can make the engine run by it self to auto destruction.

Default RE: Car Tuning

Hi,
I''m working on a transportation case for my buggy!

I want something that will include every thing I need: “Portable Work Shop†and "Storage / Carrying Case†all in one. I used second hand material except for “fasteners†(pop-rivet/glue).

I will put tool box rail to make the car jack operate smooth and a rotary plate so I can rotate the buggy and I want to use a kind of Cleco system to hold the buggy on the plate for transportation and engine run! I will add a hose to put the exhaust away, like real pit stop. The space on the 2 inch cover? I will put a black foam, carved to hold remote control, tools, spare parts and a bin area made with transparent plastic pills container. I will cover all the inside with black foam (if the buggy can fit in, I just made extension wheel hub and I put 2 double set of tires, didn't try yet!).
I build a compartment on the rear side of the box, between the wheel bins. I will probably use it like a battery pack area.
Still a lot of time to wait to finish the project. Finding the good thing to re-use is hard, but the harder is to get every tings before going to far!
“Measure twice cut once!â€
I re-used garbage for the box and keep the money for the buggy!

I would like to see that thing in action... I remember when someone put nailes in their tires then filled the rest of the tire with some jelly substance, It came out great and I always from then on wanted to do that.

Hi Troopermanaic ,
You can see my buggy in action in the snow on Youtube:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sIB6jLtTs0k
And you can see my buggy doing donuts with double rear wheels:

I recommend this forum “ingenuity†I post some of my ideas(with photos and videos). Every one is invited to post there initiative: to solve buggy related problems, new ideas, “home engineering†improvements or cost-effective way to do thing!

Hi there...,

I have a ReAction and I'm about to buy a bigger truck.

But I'm looking for a heavy duty one.

Which one would you guys recommend?

TMaxx, Revo, Savage 5.9 or GST 7.7?

I prefer the GST 7.7 or the Savage 5.9.

I want thee most durable one, the one that won't break easy.

And the one that is 4WD and has reverse.

Thanks,

ZEUS.

hey people

he though it over his house and broke the front right wheel and all that holds it on there

so thats all fixed
and yeh now i have a problem with starting it
i can get it started and it runs ok for a while..
then stalls
and normally starts straight back up and keeps stalling
can any 1 give me any pointers on how i should set the idle key
say if it was all the way closed how many turns open shoukd i make it
and the screw that lets your fuel into the carbi
how many turns should that be
or does it all depend on how hot or cold it is??
can some 1 please email me
or post back a thread with how to fix these problems..

In case you don't know, this a stadium truck suspension tuning thread, not a "which on-road car should I get" thread.
