    14mm to 17mm conversion

I think the E-Savage has 14mm hexes on the wheels. Will any wheels of similar size with 14mm hexes work? Are E-Maxx/T-Maxx wheels the same? Savage Wheels?

What would you have to do to make 17mm hex wheels work? Is it possible? What are the advantages/disadvantages of 14mm vs. 17mm hex wheels?

    Thanks

OK. It appears to be possible. Is it desirable?

    RE: 14mm to 17mm conversion

On my EMaxx; I ordered the 17mm conversion kit and then used 1/8 scale buggy/truggy tires. It reduces a lot of weight and still handles well IMO. Some people would prefer the wider stance of regular MT tires but I have a lot of 1/8 scale buggy tires so it easier for me and saves me from having to buy more tires and rims.

    RE: 14mm to 17mm conversion

an advantage is less chance of stripping out a hex on your wheel as there is more surface area. also have you looked into some 23mm conversions (do they do them for savages?) as a lot of the racers use 23mm now
