Need help with 4 tec rally conversion
I am converting my Nitro 4 tec to rally. So, far all my efforts have been in vain. Still does not have enough ground clerance run off road other than on gravel. I want a real rally car, something that will jump and handle the terrain. I pick up a set of buggy wheels and tires. The ground clearance is good, but the wheels rub.
So, does anyone make longer axels for the 4 tec?
Also, does anyone make Montero bodies in 1/10 scale?
Finanlly, can i put a truck or car body on a buggy? Cuz I may just give up on the 4 tec (make it road again) and buy a buggy for my rally car.
PS, I hear the Rally RTR cars really are not that good, so i dont want to go witht he option. Not enough ground clearance. I need at least 1"

Well look for a-arms that fit your car and that are longer then find dog bones or cv's that are long enough to fit the new a-arms.Then get biger shocks and by then you should have a little better clearence. But i suggest you should just get a off-road(buggy, st, or mt) because a 4-tec is made for on-road so it wont take much off-road punishment if you ask me. Hopefully that helps you a bit

file some stuff down on the chassis and arms in places that will allow it to ahve more down travel. then buy a set of shocks that are longer. thats about it. im sorry i dont know the exact specs of a 4tec so i dont know exactly where to file[:'(]

Thanks for the info , I was thinking about trying that, but I was worried the drive axel would bind if I did that. It is pretty tight when I turn it and hold down the susp. I think the best option is to get a buggy.
Thanks again

RE: Need help with 4 tec rally conversion
I have a Cen CT5 and am looking for an off road or rally. I am wondering if I should convert my CT5 to a rally and buy a 4 tec or should I buy a 4 tec and convert that to rally? Or should I buy an HPI RS4 becasue that is shaft drive?
