For $15 I guess it's a good buy, but if you have a owb it will, cause the owb for the starting system to slip over a period of time. Eventually you will have to by another owb. Blue thunder is also kinda inconsistent with tuning. I used blue thunder for a while and had tuning problems thought it was just me, then switched to another fuel and stopped having tunning problem once I switched fuels. Plus blue thunder isnt all that great in power, they have way to high of a oil content (thats what causes the owb to slip) and tht robs ya of power. Personally of the 6 or 7 types of fuel I have used I would have to say blue thunder is more then likely the worst fuel I have ever used. But thats my opinion, you may get someone on here that totally loves it and will never use anything but Blue Thunder.

Personally I will never use Blue thunder again, but for $15 for a gallon of fuel thats up to you, there's a lot better fuels out there but as said for $15 it totally up to you

I liked it a lot better then the Traxxas Top fuel.. I get more power with the blue stuff

Now that I think about it, it did cause my OWB to slip more than the other fuel I have used (I just cleaned it up to fix it though). $15 for a gallon sounds like heaven.. I have to pay $20 a quart at one of my LHS[:'(]

I've used it and have no problems. For $15 I would get it.

I've used it and hated it. Both a friend and I tried to get it to tune properly and it just would not tune. Switched to O'Donnell's and no more troubles. like 125cchyperman, I'll never use it again. Not even for $10/gallon, heck noeven if it were given to me I hated it that much.

Oh, and the blue dye in it will turn your engine internals blue too.

Does it hurt your engine?

I don't think so, just looks odd...

On the other hand, if it will dye/stain/discolor metal, who knows what other effects it might have.

Dosen't really matter to me though because, like I said, I won't use it again.

Get the race blend if you can, it's got less oil (8% I think) than their sport fuel. Still, the oil formulation in the sport fuel is better than the Traxxas stuff. My owb's almost completely quit slipping when I switched to the O'Donnell's stuff.

I've run the 20% Sport formula in a Sportwerks .21, Sportwerks .26, OPS .12, Duratrax .18, HPI K4.6 and an STS D21T without any tuning problems. The one-way bearing in the .26 and the K4.6 do slip every now and then. It's not a problem to clean them. I can't say it's caused by the BT fuel because it's all I've used recently. The rest of the engines are bump start and the fuel works fine. At $15, it's a steal. I pay $23 a gallon at the LHS and Hobbytown charges $34.
