but how can it work, there would be twice the amount of voltage going to the motor

These are the ones everyone uses. They work at 14.4v even though they are only rated for 8.4v. They have a pretty low rpm to begin with so when you double the voltage you are in the 20+k range which is still not a very high rpm. They do have lots of torque though and pull I think around 300W each at that voltage.

I'm not sure exactly how much faster than stock but people do say they make a big difference. The only thing keeping me from doing it is I think they will pull to many amps for the evx. maybe if you had an evx2 it would be ok

Novak makes the super duty. It would be the one to get. It could easily handle the two s600s, but by the time you buy one of those controllers and the s600 motors you have spent a good wad of cash. A brushless system might be a better way to go. You will have 0 motor maintenance and the batteries will last much longer.

I have to agree with hemiblas. The Super Duty is about $160 and then the two S-600s are about $30. That's as much as I paid for my Mamba Max/Feigao 7XL. The MM at b-p-p.com is only around $110 shipped and the 7XL at Starluckrc is $60 and then you need a ubec. I have used the S-600s and they're great for brushed motors, but it isn't even close to brushless performance.

I had an old Emaxx with S600s, giving them full voltage and there were no issues. The motors are beefy enough for it.

You can safely gear higher with these and therefore go faster than with the titans.

well, i was thinking about the novak hv maxx but i dont want to spend $270 on it. i just want some decent speeds and good rutimes. about how fast and what kind of runtimes can i expect with the 7xl?

edit: i just checked tower, they have the super duty for 132.99 is it still worth it to go with something else? ill probably just go with the evx2 since its only $109.99
