i dont know much about smart tech but if he is opening a hobby store he should go with the best sellers.
the rs4/tmaxx/etc are popular for a reason and that is they sell.

my local hobby shop only sells cars/trucks/buggies....no planes or anything else.
they have a wide selection of hpi/traxxas/hpi and mugen parts and they are doing well.
and as we all have seen here a hobby shop's personal attention to its customers is the most important thing. if they have a guy with attitude watch how quickly some customers find somewhere else to go or buy online.

Does anyone know where I can get a pull start for a smartech winner sport speedy tiger? It has a .15 engine. Is there anywhere online? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like your idling too high, or your gear meshing is too tight.
I have one and it runs fine. inspect your clutch/bell once in a while.

smartech isn't the best, and i've never atually seen them in a hobby shop. your best bet is to stock losi, associated, duratrax, ext.

Your glow plug might have something wrong with it. Thats what happened to my smartech, it kept on heating very, very hot then it just started going at a steady low speed. So you Might have to replace your glow plug if the entire coil doesn't light.

Hope that might help.
