hey man on road wise go for the ntc3 its a great smooth car handles wonderful and it screams for a stock but than you wont regret it cause they are easy to tune and take apart i also love the handling on that car its wonderful ntc3 for the most bang for the buck instead of a $350 + mugen or serpent but yeah just my side to the story.

Well I checked out the specs on both buggies and these are the only differences I found. The MP 7.5 has 4mm longer suspension arms. Teflon - coated shocks. The MP 7.5 doesn't come with a header or pipe either. I would go with the MP 7.5 Sport if you want a Kyosho. You get a motor, header, and pipe all for $50 dollars left. If anyone else knows of any other differences please let me know as I'm curious too now. I cross referenced the specs on tower hobbie and these were the only differences I saw. Hope this helps.

I just purchased a Kyosho Inferno MP7.5 Sport Readyset, It comes with everything but fuel and batteries. I paid only $380 with shipping and insurance included. The kit is NIB. Bought from this dude in Hong Kong so I should get it by end of next week. This kit will be available here in the states around mid-april. That is what towerhobbies website shows. As soon as I get it I will post an update with my impressions. Oh Towerhobbies shows a price of $470 for this RTR car. I bought this car because it will be really easy to upgrade with so many performance parts available since it is 100% compatible with the Kanai series.

Hmm.. Personally I would stash the G. But thats just me!
IF your looking for a buggy. You can get the Kanai2 if you feel like spending the extra 150 over a Mugen.
The MBX4 works totally whoops ass. Unfortunately I havent used it much so I cant say that much about it. I STILL havent broken it in totally. After I put in the new digital servos my reciever crapped out and now I'm in the process of buying an R1/JR330.
The Rossi BM is difinitely one of those dream machine motors.
Its not even close to full potential but even now..running really rich, it hauls!!
I got the buggy for 375 and the motor for 325.
Would I recommend it? Hell yeah!
Its a little expensive though. I live at home, dont pay for much and I have a job. So I can justify it.
But these are bad times my friend.. an extra buck goes a long way!

I do not know all the differences. I know the suspension (shocks) are of lesser quality on the sport. Once I get mine I will compare the part numbers against the MP7.5 manual I downloaded. The thing I do know is that any part from the 7.5 series will fit my soon to be beast.
I do have to agree that I would stash some of that dough in case the raining gets worst.

There are a few more differences between the 7.5 and the 7.5 sport than the shocks.
The chassis plate is not the same as on the racing version.
The differentials use less expensive bevel gears (and only 2 per differential vs 4 in the race version).
Engine mounts are not included.
There are a few more differences, but these are the main items.

well, i got an old kyosho mp6 off ebay for 250... then with about 100 worth of maintenance and tires I threw in a RB WS7 which cost about 250..., 600 bucks and i went to the track and smoked every single buggy out there, even the two kanai's which bosted piccos and rossi megas... I think i would go kyosho, mostly, because where I'm from, the kyosho parts are easier to come by than the mugen...and if you take your time and dial the car these two cars will put all the others to shame... that said, my old mp6 that the guy sold cuz he had to have the new thing toasted everybody... MORAL TO THIS STORY....
good parts support, and lots of attention to detail will net you an R/C that rips every time..... gaurunteed...

Well I have done a little more reading and searching for differences between the 7.5 Sport and racing Version. This are the parts that are on the MP7.5 but not the same on the 7.5 sport.
KYOC5939, 3467, 3468, 3572, 5199, 6821, 2866, 6012, 6014.
Go to the Kyosho website to find out description. Too lazy to write all of that. If I was to buy all those parts so they were the same I would have to spend $231.41 plus shipping. And buy a new engine since the one supplied with the sport probably wont fit.
The reason the Sport is still a better deal for me is cause I am getting a nice R/C car RTR(with radio, receiver and servos) for only $380 brand new to my door. This same kit will be available from towerhobbies for $479 mid-april. As I break components, I will upgrade to the MP7.5 parts. By then I will be good enough to be competitive at the track and probably ready for a new engine. This is my first Nitro so not a bad deal. Sorry for the long and boring post.

The mugen MBX-XR Works is 439 and the Kyosho Kani is like 650 typically through any of the on-line outlets. The out the door difference between Mugen and Kyosho is actually more like $220. I would buy the Mugen and be happy with any money you save over the Kyosho K2. I think the only buggy in the Kyosho line that competes with the Mugen is the K2. I will say this though. If I wanted to get a RTR that I think is worth having it would be the STORM. Great JR radio, and a really nice chassis for like $530 out the door-dont underestimate this one.

NO, the works model comes with ........THE WORKS! I haven't changed anything except the Diffs. and thats not needed. I would recommend the .21OS RZVO1B(P) it is about 268$ so it isn't high end but has high end power and reliability. Alot of airplane guys swear they are the best made glow engine. The model below this one with a black head is also ok, I think it costs under 200$. Don't forget the STORM too if you want to save some money. The Hitec 625, and 645 are non-digital and are only 40$ they work GREAT. Hitec 5945 digitals are great but cost 100$ each. Stick with the 625-645 they operate fine, nearly as good for 1/2 the cost.

Casey,
It's not a Nova, it's a Rossi! Rossi is completely separate from NovaRossi.
While I run Rossi, RB, and Picco at the moment, I would suggest getting an OS RZ-V01B. It has world class power, great quality, and probably the best carburetor in all of R/C.

Well there you go! From a guy qualified to make the determination. But really the .21OS RZVO1B won the ROAR GAS OFF-ROAD Natinals in 2002 using Odonell 20%! And the winner could have used any ROAR legal brand engine he wanted, so I think that says ALOT!

You also need a pipe and you are set! VERY nice choice, man I am jealous! Get a OFNA 063 from ace, they work great and only cost 60$. Like the one in this picture....This is exactly what your buggy is going to look like! They also sell the K&N for 20$ like the one in the picture...as long as you are ordering you may as well get that too. http://acehardwarehobbies.com/
Ace also carries the Mugen MBX-XR Works in pieces...the whole buggy from A-Z! The owner JR is a real nice guy I have spent a fortune with them just this year already! He has done some out of the ordinary things to keep my business too. Like when my kit didn't have the tires but the seal hadn't been broken...he just sent a set out and paid the shipping! and when a connector on a 30$ RX battery broke he said keep it and sent a new one! Great way to do business.
