it's not the whole post i broke just the nib that goes through the body and holds the clip. the rest of it is fine. and it isn't a weak spot at all.

here are a couple better pics of my mxt. i think the hummer body is a little small
You should replace the screw with a hex drive
There's no need for hex screws with it set up like that. Those collars lock the screw tight as a drum with no need for lock tight.

yeah but there's a smaller chance of stripping it with a hex drive

i haven't seen a hexdrive that is countersunk like the screws that are on it now. also those screws are actualy made from very hard steel. i have had my engine out a couple times and those screws don't seem like they would strip very easy at all.

Actually that system has been around for a few years and it works quite well but a lot of companies abandon it because its expensive []

I haven't been able to flip mine yet. I almost flipped it yesterday, when I was sliding around in some crabgrass, the rear caught and it started to come over a little bit, then went right back on it's wheels. Very stable. I adjusted my front toe out quite a bit yesterday. The front wheels don't wobble in the turns like they did before I adjusted it. They're toed in too much out of the box.

Mine had a whole bunch of toe in on the front (both wheels pointing inward). I adjusted them both out to where they have about 1/8" of toe out. Tracks better and turns better.

Ok guys, I think mine's pretty much broken in now. It's a screamer for sure. The gearing is awesome. I don't think it needs second gear most of the time, it flies in first. I did a little jumping today, getting braver with each pass. It's as stable in the air as it is on the ground. Responds instantly to input while in the air. Bring the nose up with the gas, drop the front with the brakes, and correct whips with the steering. Awesome. Thanks to eddie for talking me into getting this beast. It's simply amazing. I crashed a couple times, once from about 5 feet in the air. I hit the brakes too hard to bring the nose down and it landed smack on the front bumper. No damage whatsoever. It's a tank. I'll try to get a video camera after I get some bills paid and get caught up after losing a salary in the household. I'll keep ya'll posted.

I have a Extreme 1/10 buggy, Schumacher Havoc and Duratrax Warhead EVO. I'm interested in this vehicle but want to know about availabilty of parts. As my member name says I push these vehicles to there limit and that means I often need parts. The last run with Warhead I tried a WOT power slide at top speed on asphalt, oops, it reminded me of that NASCAR crash a few weeks ago where the car cartwheeled for awhile and the rolled repeatedly till it landed on it's roof. It looked great but I was afraid to see what the damage was. All I did was break the front shock tower. It will be here Tuesday. Can I get parts for these trucks in about a week or less?
