Not really good at it. Went a got a Hitec HS645MG today and just finished putting it in. Everything seems to be working good now. Hope to run tomorrow after work if it don't rain.

Papa.....
I hear Ya.....Its probably better to get a new Servo in there, and be Done with it, anyway.....

I know you've had a few Problems with the Truggy.
Personally....it frustrates the Crap out of me when that sort of stuff happens....
So,,,Here's Hoping that you get the wrinkles Ironed out and get that Truggy On The Road!

Only very few with it. I knew the servo would need to be replaced eventually as it seems so with any RC you get. It's all part of the hobby anyway. Out of 4 different types I've bought, there is only 1 I will never buy again, ACME!! Will get some running in this weekend.

More issues. Got to run a bit this afternoon. Ran 1 tank, all went really good. Took about a hour break for a bear and a chat with the neighbor and a friend. Went to go run another tank and about 1/2 way through the tank the throttle servo just total guit working. Still had steering but nothing on throttle.

Yes I did. It didn't run off or anything on me just had to go to the far end of the yard and get it. The nice thing about it is it just sat there idling till I got up to it.

Yep.....that Can Happen (Just like Mac says)....
See if you cant figgure a way to mount a Throttle return spring to the carb SLIDER...
Probably wont help if a High Torque servo decides to stick Wide Open, but if the servo just Dies n goes loose (broken wire) or the linkage comes loose, it might save you...

Damn, but you are havin the Worst luck with all that small Stuff....
Ya need to get all that small stuff sorted out, so you can Run like you're Supposed too.......
And.....run into a building at Full Throttle, the way WE all do! Lol....

I had put a return spring on my Monsoon(slide carb) and I just hooked it to the servo. I haven't really figured out a way to hook it to the carb itself yet, but if I do, I will let you know, and maybe that will give you some help with yours.

Like it is from the factory on my new XTM - attached to the servo. It doesn't SNAP back, but it does pull back within a second or so. However, since it's a 2 speed, the engine can stop dead and the thing will coast for half a football field.

Donny....
I put a Servo return spring on my MXT2S.....
Hooked the spring on the slider knob and hooked the other end of the spring around the Idle Adjust screw.

Problem is,,,it caused the Slider to Stick.
I have a strong throttle servo that would Easily overcome the Sticking, but I figured it would cause uneven wear of the Slider, so I took it Off.

I think it will work if I re-position the Slider Arm hook-up and re-position the location of the Linkage.
I'll let Ya'all know if I figure out something that works Smoothly....

LOL Eddie I was just reading down the thread and was thinking how to explain to hook the spring to the horn rather than the carb and you gave me a break. ( picture worth 1000 words )

All you guys have to do is take the grub screw out of the thing that is on the slide carb and add a screw like on mine now picture below, and hook the spring to the screw and back to the high speed needle

Ok. I'm done with this truggy for a while. Had radio problems out of the box which himoto replaced free of charge. I have bought 2 new servos, steering screws and bushings, and a complete clutch bell assembly. Well today after running 1 tank of gas in 3 weeks the fuel line kept popping off. No problem easy fix. Well on the second tank clutch bell goes to crap. Yes I installed it correctly, engine is tight and not moving. Yes the gap is correct. I know this is a hobby of break em and fix them but when you have to fix them more than you run them due to in my opinion using cheap parts and poor assembly, I would rather spend my money on something I can run and ruin myself.

Since I have owed a monsoon in the past I am anxious to see how this is! I loved my monsoon and this looks like it is alot better in the suspension part of it. Should be alot more durable in the front too because of that. No more knuckle screws coming out or stripping or front end slop.
