No doubt....its not so bad when you have to replace a 150 dollar glow engine.

Try telling your Boss(er um wife) you just toasted the 5000$ 406 sbc you built over the winter....

Why do we buy things that may never get used? It's so nice to have the right tool at the right time when I need it, even if I only use it once. (I think I have as much money in tools now.) But I have packages of new items that I can't remember what I really needed it for....? 'Guess that's what yard sales and auctions are for. (I've had airplane snow skis for 13 years now, never used! Someday....)

"Just be glad you don't like full size cars as much. Or worse yet, full size cars AND R/C Cars. Talk about a wallet emptying combination!"

Guilty as charged

"Thats why you bring in just enough money to buy what you need"

And that's why then invented credit/debit cards.

How long before our LHS's are pushing store cards and "buy now pay later" deals at us?

I'm new to the whole game, but I've already spent up to £400 on my car, AND I WANT MORE!

Is there actually a limit to what you can do to a car though? Is there any plastic part that can't be replaced with an aluminium counterpart? Is there ever a car that can have nothing done to it?

Is there hell, that's why there's so much choice - plenty of people fighting for our hard earned cash

And, naturally, that's where the fun is in the hobby

Expensive? Yes, addictive? My father started out with one car, he now has around 20...or something, I've only got 4- sort of. It definately can get addicting, but the more cars you have, the more money and parts you gotta buy when something breaks.

Also I've been wanting an RC helicopter, but have no place to store it nor fly it (I live in the mountains) and I'd have to drive into town to find a field to fly it on.

See Ill tell ya what. By far the best way to get extra dough for this damn hobby is to "skim".

Let me give you my method.

I have about 150 employees that work directly for me. So every week I will get about $200 from the ATM for my week.(lunches etc.) I tell my wife i hade to buy someone lunch or movie tickets (which i do) and simply throw away my reciepts so the exact dollar ammount can not be accounted. Then I will stash between 40-80 of it in my durango until i have enough to by somthing cool.

Then when the wife asks me what the hell is that I simply say. O that? I have had that for a wile.

Works all the time.
