From what I understand is the Slayer doesn't use your typical 2.2 tire. Rim/ tire look 2.2 from the outside but the rim is larger on the inside bead to clear the Revo hub. Rim is more of a cone shape as appose to a cylidrical shape.......if this helps you at all.

I'd ask you what you have going on but I have a feeling you are in secret mode.

I noticed that too on the traxxas website exploded veiws, and they sell them pre-assembled tire&wheel.

I think I'll be looking for 2 pairs of Slash rear wheels instead.

I think they look good on a scale crawler.

So does anyone know which other brands of wheels and tires that would fit the Slayer besides the factory ones? Thx

they don't make the wheels that come stock on the slash seporat, they are the "slayer" style with the larger inner part and 12mm hexes. as of right now, no one makes tires for the slash rims, proline does make beadlocks to use there own tires

Most 1/8 scale buggy wheel and tire combos will fit. You will need to upgrade to the 17mm hex but thats cheap. Otherwise Panther Komodo Dragon LPRs work on a 30 series wheel. They are a bit bigger though.

were can you find 17mm hexs for the slash? the only ones I find are 14mm

I thought the new Slash/Slayer wheels were 2.2 od and 2.8 id? I don't think they're 3 on the id, but I could be wrong.
