REDCAT BRUSHLESS IN 1/8 SCALE??
What do you guys think of putting the redcat brushless motor and esc in a 1/8 scale buggy??? Will be have enough power. I am asking because I am getting one of the new Caster ZX1-R 1/8 electric buggies and am looking for some inexpesive brushless stuff to put on it. Just do not know of it will push this buggy on a track. I am new to electric and is why I am going this route this way if it is not for me I do not have too much money into it.

RE: REDCAT BRUSHLESS IN 1/8 SCALE??
Please no Hater's. I had this thread in the redcat forum to get experienced opinions from people who own the redcat products but I guess it was not enough to do with redcat so it was moved here in general discussions.

RE: REDCAT BRUSHLESS IN 1/8 SCALE??
is the redcat brushless rated for 1/8 use?
I thought they had a budget minded 1/10 setup (that cost about the same as the castle SW combo)
any 1/10 setup, mamba, VXL, novak, lrp wouldn't be a good choice
if you need to go cheap, get a MM and feigao motor, should be less than $200 for both (and BEC)

RE: REDCAT BRUSHLESS IN 1/8 SCALE??
I know it is 1/10 is why I was not sure. I have seen one of there brushless setups on a 1/10 and it was really fast, almost too fast I why I thought would work on a 1/8. Oh well I will take a look at other stuff too. Just am a newbie to electric.

That 1/10 BL will be hard pushed in a 1/8 i would think it may strain the motor a bit too much [] Think of the extra wieght you would gain.
